Cocktail Lounge bartender
Part Time 8-32 hours weekly
The Position: We’re looking for Part Time Cocktail Lounge Bartenders to join our team and to help bring the As Above, So Below distillery and cocktail experience to life. Cocktail Lounge Bartenders will provide cocktail service, interact with guests through bottle and merchandise sales and communicate our brand story during tastings and events.
Responsibilities:
- Greet Guests
- Provide consistent quality cocktail service, adhering to house cocktail recipes
- Assist guests with purchases from our merchandise and bottle shop
- Create a consistent, high caliber brand experience
- Provide accurate information about distillery processes and products
- Represent the As Above, So Below Distillery Brand
- Assist guests over the phone
- Support Distillery needs at special events, which may be off-site
- Maintain a clean, well presented and safe environment for all guests and team members, following a pre-determined list of side work tasks
- Abide by all state liquor regulations
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Adheres to high business standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

- Overtime may be required, holiday work, and weekends.
- 2+ years of service industry experience preferred
- Must be 21+
- Must be willing to maintain an active NM server’s license and food handlers card (AASB Distillery will provide certification and renewal as needed)
- Knowledge of POS systems a plus
- Cocktail Lounge Bartenders should have the ability to stand and be mobile for long periods of time and crouch for supplies. Employees will have to occasionally lift cases of spirits nearing 50 lbs. The Tasting Room work environment may be a loud and busy.

Prep Apprentice and Bar Back
Part Time 16-24 hours weekly
As Above, So Below Distillery’s Prep Apprentice and Bar Backs are members of As Above, So Below Distillery’s Hospitality team.
Responsibilities:
- Juice fresh citrus and make syrups, cordials and infusions for cocktail bar service.
- Review ingredient stock and rotate to ensure all ingredients are fresh and in date.
- Prepare garnishes and pre-batch cocktails for events.
- Set up the bar to ensure the appearance is inviting and remains clean and pristine.
- Refill ice bins, stock beer/wine/liquor and ensure enough napkins, straws, and fruits are available for bartenders during service
- Ensure glassware is bussed, washed and polished during service
- Ensure the lounge remains clean and all tables are wiped and sanitized during service
- Assist with bottle and merchandise sales.
- Maintain a knowledge and understanding of the drinks being served at the event in order to assist guests if they have questions.
- Conduct Alcohol service in a safe manner, ensuring no guests are over served and all service complies with New Mexico service regulations.
Requirements:

Door Person/Security
Part Time 24-60 hours Monthly
As Above, So Below Distillery’s Door Person/Security Guards are members of As Above, So Below Distillery’s Hospitality team. As Above, So Below Distillery and Lounge is hiring an experienced door person/security person to join our cocktail lounge and event team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in bar security, building security, nightclub security, or prior work as a bouncer at busy entertainment venues.
Our cocktail lounge events feature DJs, private events and high-energy weekend crowds—so we’re looking for professionals who can manage guest flow, enforce policies, and maintain a safe, fun environment. We also take our cocktail bar on the road- offering catering at 3rd party venues that require security for these specially permitted events to maintain compliance with local and state laws.
Responsibilities:
- Check government-issued IDs at the entrance to verify age and prevent underage access.
- Monitor entry/exit points and maintain physical security of the venue.
- Ensure the lounge does not exceed capacity
- Enforce NM liquor laws and venue policies with professionalism.
- Ensure that private event guests are admitted based on guest list inclusion.Dor
- Manage guest behavior and respond to incidents calmly and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- 1 year of experience as a bouncer, bar security, or building security preferred
- Proven experience managing entry checkpoints and handling ID checks.

- Strong communication skills, team-oriented, and able to remain composed under pressure.

production Operator – Assistant distiller
Full time – 32-40 hours weekly
Operators will work primarily in distillery operations and warehouse (distillation, rectification, blending, packaging) and will migrate to other areas as needed from grain to glass. Assignments can change depending on the current business requirements; each Operator will have the capability and flexibility to run each piece of equipment at the facility including distillation, barrel handling, and bottling.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor/Understand manual and automated equipment systems using gauges, indicators, screens and controls.
- Operate raw material handling, preparation, fermentation, distillation pot still, distillation column still, dephlegmator, condenser, byproducts, barrel handling, blending and bottling activities.
- Operate utility systems including but not limited to the boiler, chillers, air compressor, water filtration unit, etc.
- Inspect and clean the equipment systems.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices, ensure equipment is clean and areas are organized at all times according to established business processes.
- Conduct maintenance and sanitation on all systems.
- Perform lab procedures for spirit chemistry, grain analysis, fruit sugar concentration, shelf life testing, obscuration, water, and alcohol.
- Create, follow and maintain all SOPs.
- Follow all safety precautions and related OSHA requirements.
- Understand process flows and equipment (pumps, agitators, valves, instruments, etc).
- Perform normal and emergency startup/shutdown of all equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance as required.
- Operate gauging tanks, filling barrels, dumping barrels, bottling line operations
- Load and Unload deliveries and orders
- Operate forklift and pallet jack
- Ensure that all necessary data is input into compliance, QA and order tracking systems
- Complete all distillery duties as directed by Supervisor.
Requirements:
- 2+ years beverage manufacturing experience
- An outstanding work record including job performance, safety, and attendance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Intermediate MS Office, Google Workspace and general computer skills
- Adheres to our business standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment focusing on continuous improvement opportunities
- Overtime may be required, holiday work, and weekends.
- Must be able to work in extremely hot, cold, loud, and dusty conditions.
- Be able to physically perform all aspects of the position. This includes, but is not limited to: Lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis from floor to shoulder height. Climb a minimum of two flights of stairs in succession. Be able to bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
